The Stairway to Nowhere

When Marian let us know that she would be giving up her space at Lucketts to concentrate on her blog, we had to do some quick thinking.  With our annual Groundhog Day sale just 'round the corner (February 1, 2 & 3), we had to think fast.

Anne will be moving from her existing space on the side of the cash register over to the main lobby.  After the February sale, we'll be moving our counter over to Anne's old space.  This leaves more room for customers when they enter the shop.  Who wants to be smacked in the face with a counter when they walk in the front door, anyway?

Bev, a dealer who has been with us for many years recently moved to Colorado and Amy and Casey (two of our "worker girls") have moved to that space, which is affectionately called, the stairway to nowhere.  Gotta love old buildings and their quirks!

I have never seen this stairway look so clean before...

The girls worked hard to reimagine this space!
Amy is a trained artist and will be offering some of her artwork.  Both Amy and Casey will be offering vintage and antique finds.  See a few examples below...
Chair $68
Quirky Einstein sketch $38

Farm pull $18

We wish Amy & Casey much success in their new space!

  1. Is it bad that one of the reasons I'm so happy that my daughter is seriously considering GMU is because it's close to Luckett's? :-D

  2. Can't wait to visit and see the redo. Care and creativity like this is what makes Lucketts so successful. Only the beginning for Casey and Amy!

  5. Casey, get off that ladder! Seriously, Amy and Casey have some wonderful treasures. Get yourself over there before they are gone!

  6. Casey! What are you doing on that ladder-instead of belly crawling under the porch of the Design House?!?! You know its Ground Hog season. You guys have an awesome space and you've made it look fantastico! I have already shopped there. You know I love that stairway! Congrats and have fun!
