My workshop with Amy Howard

Hey everyone!  I'm taking a quick break from prep for The Design House (Oct, 4, 5 & 6) to share a few photos from my awesome workshop with Amy Howard.

Suzy and I met Amy and spent time with her paint line a while back at an interior decorating trade show, but this was three days in a small group learning her philosophy and product line, and practicing her painting techniques.

All I can say is that after 20 years of doing this, I was wowed all over again.  I wanted to share some photos from the workshop and let you know a little more we we're carrying the line in The Old Lucketts Store right now!

New in the shop and online this week

We just got in a huge shipment this week for our online store, Shop Lucketts.

We are so excited to have NINE new products this week!

We have some great serving and entertaining pieces, a new larger mantle clock, a cozy throw, and  a really cool mirror sunburst mirror.

We also have some really cool finds Fresh Off the Wagon too at The Old Lucketts Store.

Please Rescue Me

Have you always wanted to try your hand at upholstering a chair?

Maybe you'd like to customize a dresser and bring it back to life with paint.

Some of our customers want to walk in our shop and find a piece already fixed up and prettied up. We also know others of you are big DIYers, looking to do your own rescuing.

That's why we're adding a new Rescue Me section outside the shop to complement our new paint line Amy Howard at Home that should be arriving later this month at the shop.

We have lots of goodies this week both in the shop and online.

Our dealers have packed their spaces with new finds, including some great sideboards, concrete items, handmade decor...and we had a delivery of topiaries this week too!

Happy 17th Birthday Lucketts!

August marks 17 years...yes 17 years...of The Old Lucketts Store.

This month we'll be featuring a few pictures and stories about the shop over the years, from what it was when it was found to what the store has become.

We get a lot of questions about the shop's history.  So we thought it would be good to start with some background and show a few pictures of the before and afters.

The Design House is back for August 2, 3 & 4!

We've been prepping, unpacking and planning for the August Design House.

The summer has been a time to relax and recharge.  To get back to what we love --- scoring great furniture and repurposing it, and attending interior design trade shows to get our holiday fix (yes, in July!).

New art arrived this month, and yes, we do have some new horse images!

Paint has been added to a few rooms.  We're are going crisp, clean and neutral.  Unlike a few of the last Design Houses where we brought in color trends on the walls, for August, we're bringing in color with our accessories and keeping the walls mostly neutral with two of Amy's favorites.

Meet Dale.

Well, maybe this isn't Dale, but these are some of his creations.

Dale is a new artist at the shop who is really passionate about welding together found objects and making them in to something new.

Dale literally sees beauty in everything he finds, from an old rusty fence piece to a car part.

Once in a lifetime!

This literally almost never ever ever happens…but it's happening now!

A SPACE IS OPENING UP AT LUCKETTS!!!!!!!!!!!

We are looking for someone who can “BRING IT”  to Lucketts!

What's new this week in store & online!

The summer is a time to wind down a little bit -- the Design House is closed until August, we are concentrating on refilling our spaces and getting reengergized. 

This week, we have a few favorites back in our online store and the shop is full of some great pieces this week.

We have a lot going on these last few days and moving in to May.  May is shaping up to be quite a month, with a Design House, wedding reception, a new baby, and Heather's own big baby --- our Annual Lucketts Spring Market!

With everything going on, we still had some time to bring some new items in to the shop and order for the online store.

What's new in the shop & online this week...

So much going on this week.  We received a new shipment in this past week (just in time to unpack and style for the April Design House, April, 5, 6 & 7).  This gives us about 7 days to get everything in place...not a lot of time when you are redoing an entirely new house each month!

Our dealers didn't disappoint this week, and brought in a ton of new goodies too this week, including chemistry supplies, an apothecary sideboard, and other fun accent pieces.

What's new in the shop and online this week...

We have lots of new items in the shop & online this week. 

In the shop, we've fallen in love with some antique pine pieces with their original finishes.  Some dealers have started to take spring seriously, and their paint colors have started to reflect the sunshine and warm(er) weather.

Online, we've added two favorite signs, industrial metal pieces and new lighting.

Thankfully, it should be a nice warm{er} weekend and we are looking forward to getting out and searching for new finds. 

We have a bunch of new items that arrived in the shop this week.   We've also had some items for the online store that we've been waiting literally months for arrive this week.

Several new items in the shop this week Fresh Off the Wagon, including some beautiful cabinets and more jewelry!

We're also trying to coordinate some of the items from our online store with items that will be in the March Design House this weekend (March 1, 2, &3).  We have some new curtain panels that we'll be featuring in the house that you can also purchase online.

Several new items in the shop this week Fresh Off the Wagon, including some military collectibles, a nice 19th century cubby unit, and a cute cottage style twin bed.

We also had ourselves a little photo shoot this week for new items for the online store.  We're now featuring several items Suzanne and Amy found at the Interior Design Shows this past January.

I mentioned earlier this week that several dealers have restyled their spaces.

After the Groundhog Sale, Amy and Suzanne have restyled their rooms on the second floor (at the top of the stairs) and in the first floor main room.

What's new this week in the shop and online...

Many of our dealers have taken advantage of some extra space in their rooms after the Groundhog Sale.  We have several newly styled rooms and brand new items this week Fresh Off the Wagon.

We've also added several new products in our online store ---- and they are sure to lift your spirits and keep your mind off this cold weather and start thinking spring!

With our annual Groundhog Day Sale behind us, several of the dealers have taken advantage of the extra space to redesign their rooms.  I'm going to be sharing a few new rooms in the next few blog posts.

First up, on the first floor in the main room, has a very new and very cool jewelry display.
