Creating a dimensional, antiqued finish using paint and wax

Did you know that you can revive an old piece of furniture or frame and give it some character with a few products that may be already in your paint supply box?

Giveaway Mondays...Paris sap bucket winner

Last week, we asked you to tell us how you'd use one of our popular 17" tall Paris sap buckets!   Our favorite comment will have this bucket mailed to them from our online store.

We wanted to thank Jake, one of our worker guys, for his wonderful service.  Jake always has a smile on his face and a helping hand for our customers purchasing furniture.  Thank you Jake for your great attitude and service!

Sadly for us, Jake will be returning to school shortly and we will be two helping hands short.  We wish you the best back at school, Jake.  You will be missed!

We are in need of a worker to move furniture Thursday, Friday, Saturdays and Sundays.   The hours are 10am to 5pm.

We all need to kick the week off on a happy note so here we go..

Last week we did a giveaway through Miss Mustard Seed's blog, called Pay It Forward.   Readers wrote in and told us why someone special in their life deserved something to brighten their day from our online store. The response was very moving, and made me realize that we would love to incorporate more things like this into our blog.

New in the store & online this week...

The holidays are over, and our dealers are back in full swing, bringing in items to restock the shop.  As I took pictures today, several spaces were being reworked.....out with the last of the holiday merchandise and in with the new.

Below are just a few of the new items Fresh Off the Wagon this week.  We also just received two shipments for our online store, including Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint and several previously out of stock items.

It's a new dawn, it's a new day

Okay baby, it's a new dawn…it's a new day..its a fresh new year and we can do absolutely whatever we want with it..

I signed up for a yoga class (that I actually went to.. normally I think about it, sign up, don't go and wonder why I’m never in shape….started a journal that I have already written in four times…. Again, I usually buy the pretty book, fill in a page or two and up on my shelf it goes.)

But this year I feel different, I seriously feel like I want to follow through on my intentions.
