Store to Abode Fridays #17 - glass front cabinets

For this Store to Abode Friday, I'm focusing on glass front cabinets.

These cabinets are beautiful and functional ways to show off your treasures.

We tend to have these at The Old Lucketts Store quite often; right now we have several beauties in various sizes and finishes.

I wanted to give you a few ideas for how to display items in these cabinets, including a few places you can put glass front cabinets that you may not have thought about before.

Here is my inspiration photo, which also happens to be my favorite item in the store right now.  Amy & Suzanne found, restored, and repainted this seven foot beauty, which originally came from a ritzy New York furniture store.

I started thinking about how to accessorize and fill up these oversize pieces.  The more I looked for inspiration, the more I realized just how versatile these pieces are.

{1}  We love to use glass front cabinets to display our favorite collections.  Paint the inside back side of your cabinet to match your decor or add a little pop to draw the eye.

{2}  What a beautiful storage piece in this crisp white bathroom.  It behaves like built-ins or standard cabinets, but is a freestanding piece with tons more personality and style.

{3}  A cabinet off the dining room stores the special dishes and glassware normally reserved for entertaining.

{4}  Why hide your favorites in boxes?  A glass front cabinet in the bedroom is perfect for displaying a collection of favorite shoes.

{5}  This oversize cabinet provides tons of stylish storage in this workspace that doubles as a library.

Have a great weekend everyone!
