Pete's new space

More moves this past week over at the shop.

It's been really exciting to watch, but a lot of work for our vendors to move and rearrange their spaces.

Pete's space is coming along quite nicely.  The back room now has his signature hip industrial feel mixed with lots of great metal, leather/fur, and wood pieces.

Aside from lots of great decorating ideas and vignettes, I always find one {or two or three} really special pieces I would just love to take home with me.

Pete's space has two great industrial cabinets in pink this week!  This is the smaller of the two with 36 drawers.  The larger version has around 60 compartments - how much fun is that?

A  few salvaged stained glass pieces catch the light streaming in the windows.  Pete's added some great metal accents, from this horse head, to the tin star, to metal light fixtures.  Several furniture pieces are made from reclaimed wood.

Adore the lodge look or need some ideas for a man cave?  Pete has several new items, including antlers and hides that he picked up on a recent trip.

Glass accents include these bright green beauties, as well as antique glass door knob sets.

Back in the lobby area, the only remaining sign of Pete is a pedal car high up on a ledge {it looks so cool I think everyone is afraid to move it}.  He's totally moved out and two of Marian's monstrous pieces have moved in and we are starting to fill in the spaces as we wait anxiously for Marian's new milk paint line.

Marian recently unveiled a new color in her paint line called Lucketts Green.  Here is a sneak peek of one of her finished pieces:

The color was inspired by the green color of The Old Lucketts Store.  We think she nailed the color!  What do you think?

Marian's milk paint won't be widely available until August.  The Old Lucketts Store will have it first.  We are anxiously awaiting our shipment scheduled to arrive in July {and we'll let you know when it arrives}.  In the meantime, you can get your fix by checking out some of the videos Marian has posted to YouTube detailing how she mixes and uses her milk paints.

    1. I could try to explain it here, but Marian has a post on her blog that I think should answer all the main questions you may have. Here is the link: http://missmustardseed.com/2012/06/milk-paint-basics/
