Spring Market 2012 exhale...

Thank you all for a wonderful Spring Market!!!  We had killer vendors and fantastic weather this year which drew a really great crowd.

While we're all recuperating, here are a few pictures from the Market.

Same as last year, if you'd like to share your purchases with us, just leave a comment to this post with a link to your blog or tag us in your Facebook photo.  We'd love to see what you bought and share on our blog with a photo credit to you.

On to some pictures...

  2. Lucketts Spring Market - one of my favorite weekends of the year! There is just so much vintage goodness to take in and enjoy! And what a treat to say hello to some of my favorite blog friends! Delightful! http://elizabethandco.blogspot.com/2012/05/bright-and-sunny-day-at-lucketts.html

  3. We had a great time and bought some wonderful goodies. Our first trip and although it took us 2 hours to get there, we will come back for the next show! Food was great also. One problem - dogs! Please leave them at home! Twice I was tripped up by leashes and the terrain is bad enough without having to worry about that! This is not a dog park - people are shopping and should not have to be worried about tripping over your dog or having it licking at your feet! Just a thought, not a sermon.

    1. It isn't a great thing to see people talking amongst themselves while their dogs lift their legs on some vendor's nice piece either. I am a dog lover, but would prefer to see no dogs at this market as well.

    2. Hi Anonymous - yes, there was a no dog policy this year. It gets difficult when people show up with dogs in hand at the gate and then there is the issue of leaving dogs in hot cars and no one wants that. Even though some of us are dog lovers, we realize not everyone is. I totally agree that if owners can't control their pets they shouldn't bring them - that's why we kept asking NO PETS PLEASE. We'll definitely look at this again for next year, whether it's including those actual words in bold in our advertisements or denying entry to people with pets. We'll see what we can do. It is a difficult problem to solve and a few bad dogs {or owners} spoil it for everyone.

  5. This year's market was packed with incredible stuff. I wanted to buy it all. Being in the event planning world, I know how much time and effort went into planning and executing that event and you guys did an awesome job. I bought some great things and will share on my blog once I get my act together. Congrats in a successful market and hope you get some well deserved rest! Can not wait for next year!

  6. I had such a great time at my first-ever Lucketts fair. I'm still recovering from two days of shopping plus the 6 1/2 hour drive home. But I'll be posting photos and blogging about my finds soon -- as soon as I can get my husband to help me unload the van.

I was so inspired by my trip to Lucketts that I'm giving away a handpainted sign

  9. We also had a great time. I didn't know what to expect and should have brought two trucks! Just a wonderful selection of items and even the food vendors added something special to the event; the crab cakes were delicious! When is the fall show?

    1. We don't have a fall show. Planning the Spring Market actually takes most of the year!

The Lucketts Community Center puts on more of a country-style fair (pony rides etc.) in August; maybe that's what you're thinking of?

The best way to see what The Old Lucketts Store is up to is to visit our events list posted here: http://luckettstore.com/events
