Store to Abode Fridays #10 - Letters

We all heart vintage letters.  They have great stories and finding your initials or spelling out something special is, well, just so personal.

Here are some ideas to help answer the question "What do I do with the vintage letters I just bought?"

Here is the inspiration photo I took this week at The Old Lucketts Store.  These letters were taken out of an old store sign.  I love how they spell "ART".

And here are some fun ways to use vintage letters in your decor!

{1}  I love this vintage neon BAR sign.  How great would these letters look at your next event or in a large rec room?

{2}  Spell something out and sit it on a shelf.  Even though these letters didn't all start out together, they look perfectly imperfect when grouped together.  {love that chipped porcelain!}

{3}  I love how this collection of vintage wood typography blocks were grouped and displayed inside a heart.

{4}  I'm showing this one because it's a cute and inexpensive way to commemorate a special date {think birthday or anniversary} or a simple saying.  These numbers / letters are from old marquees and tend to be plentiful, making them inexpensive and easy to find.

{5}  Cutest child's book nook - ever.

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. Yes, I heart vintage letters too! Although not all the letters are vintage, we have letters sitting atop the moulding above my son's closet doors. It's a great (and can be inexpensive) way, to add a little personality. In my kiddo's room, it spells out his nickname; ROOTBEER!

    1. That sounds so cute! Letters are always great for kids' bedrooms. So easy to just get some from the craft store and paint them / distress them too for an easy personalized project. Thank you for sharing!!!!
