Last minute use what you have holiday decor

Happy Holidays everyone!

I just wanted to share some beautiful pictures and a few last minute projects you can do quickly to decorate your home for the holidays.

Here are a few pictures from around the shop & Design House as well as some pictures around the Internet.  I've added a few formulas to duplicate these holiday looks, and you can do most of these with items already in your home or duplicate by taking a walk outside.

Flowerpot Candles
small flower pots  +   wire or mesh box or container  +  greenery or berries from outside  +  used taper candles or candles cut down to 6" or so

"Haphazard" Ornament Display
oversize flat bottomed basket or tray  +  leftover ornaments  +  leftover sprigs / floral picks

Winter Chair Decoration
ice skates  +  pine cone  +  ribbon

Use What You Have Arrangement
wall pocket / urn / container  +  twigs and greenery from garden  +  faux tulips from spring arrangement  +  berry sprigs

Pine Cone Garland Window Treatment
garland of greens (real or imitation)  +  ribbon  +  collected pine cones

Reclaimed Board Centerpiece
piece of cleaned, reclaimed wood  +  variety of pillar candles  +  assorted greenery  +  fruits / squash

Do you have any go-to holiday decorations that you can make with items already in the house?

Happy Holidays!

    1. Thanks so much. I really love simple, and when a few things you have can end up looking like you spent a lot of time planning it out....even better!

  2. I Purchased one of the metal wall buckets from you and I love it. I never thought of using it for Christmas. Looks like I'll be looking for greenery tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration.

    1. Thanks Sherry! It's great when you can find an item and then carry it through to other seasons or use it in different vignettes. We were thinking "we need containers that are red" and then bam, we started playing around with the wall pockets and they ended up looking great for the holidays.
      Happy Holidays to you!
