The big switcheroo!

Just wanted to quickly share with you some changes we've had to the second and third floors of the shop this week.

Lots of projects and change this week ---- painting, rearranging, and welcoming new - and not so new, vendors.

What the What? #10 - revealed!

This week, we posted a picture of an odd item Lisa had in her space.  

We had some interesting guesses and a few were kinda close.

One of our readers was close...it is actually an industrial piece.

When walking around at our Spring Market we noticed that the Shabby Chic decor is still going strong.  We saw several items that would make anyone smile when they walked into a home or space.  This week, a few images that make us want to relax and smell the flowers:

We have a special phrase around the store when we find things on our travels that are particularly unusual, odd, confusing, or sometimes hideous.  

When we come across one of these items, we like to use one of our favorite Lucketts-isms, "What the... What?"

Thank you all for a wonderful Spring Market!!!  We had killer vendors and fantastic weather this year which drew a really great crowd.

While we're all recuperating, here are a few pictures from the Market.

Enough about directions and parking,  items are arriving by the truckload and we couldn't be more excited.

We have been chomping at the bits trying to get everything in order, but today we are all smiles.  The weather is good, dealers are arriving and now we get to sit back and watch the property completely transform for this years Spring Market.

You can purchase a ready-made piece, but these are also inexpensive DIY projects, which makes their display that much more rewarding.

Spring Market 2012 - a few changes you need to know about

We're gearing up for our most exciting event of the year in a little over a week!  {Spring Market is May 19th & 20th}

We have a few changes to parking and pickup that we need all patrons and vendors to be aware of,  so we're trying to get the word out.

{Please note that the following parking and pickup details were dictated to us by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office in order to help manage traffic to and from the event.  We're in good hands, so please follow their direction...}

The Lucketts Store's Spring Market is almost upon us.  Just wanted to share some insider tips and tricks that will help make your shopping experience wonderful and memorable.

The Spring Market is May 19th & 20th {Saturday & Sunday} from 10am to 5pm.

Vintage fans are beautiful and were built to last.  You can still find them in great condition {many still work, just be sure to get them rewired & watch your fingers} at flea markets, yard sales, and at vintage shops like The Old Lucketts Store.

May Design House - inspiration & preview

The May Design House event starts tomorrow, Friday, May 4th.

The house is packed with lots of new finds, great for entertaining.

We're paying homage to nautical decor in some of the rooms this month, along with a new paint color, and some fresh new artwork & case goods.
