The house is packed with lots of new finds, great for entertaining.
We're paying homage to nautical decor in some of the rooms this month, along with a new paint color, and some fresh new artwork & case goods.
Ahhh, take a deep breath. The May Design House is full of gentle warm breezes. We were inspired by the water this month. In this room, we've used nautical art, an oversize clam shell, and driftwood to carry the theme.
Along with the nautical theme we're embracing, we've repainted the kitchen with Martha Stewart's Sisal. It makes the room feel so much more inviting when you walk in and you can tell we're getting ready for summer.

For the May Design House, we're using a lot of beach accents downstairs with some surprise drama hanging from the ceiling {it involves burlap - you have to see this!}. There are tons of cute accessories that will be perfect accents for your next get together.

Wonderful accents include these sunburst mirrors, bamboo throw rugs, and gilded letters and numbers. All of them add unique details to your home.
Tone on tone decorating in this room against a serene blue wall color. The blue is picked up in this natural history print reproduction of eggs. What a beautiful oversize mirror for a bedroom or a larger living area.
As usual, we've added lots of new artwork this month. This bird is a favorite; I love the punches of color.
