Thanks Jake {...and now we need to replace you}

We wanted to thank Jake, one of our worker guys, for his wonderful service.  Jake always has a smile on his face and a helping hand for our customers purchasing furniture.  Thank you Jake for your great attitude and service!

Sadly for us, Jake will be returning to school shortly and we will be two helping hands short.  We wish you the best back at school, Jake.  You will be missed!

We are in need of a worker to move furniture Thursday, Friday, Saturdays and Sundays.   The hours are 10am to 5pm.

If you know of anyone in the Leesburg, VA area who fits the bill and is willing to move furniture, please drop us a line at luckettstore@gmail.com (subject line: Moving Job Opening).

Letters to Lucketts - charging for services

Last week, we had a great question about charging for services left as a comment on our blog.

When you are just starting out, our clients may be friends, or friends of friends, the waters can get a little murky.  When should you start charging?  Should you ever do a home consult or walk through for free?

Amy answers your question this week!

Win this for someone you care about!
We all need to kick the week off on a happy note so here we go..

Last week we did a giveaway through Miss Mustard Seed's blog, called Pay It Forward.   Readers wrote in and told us why someone special in their life deserved something to brighten their day from our online store. The response was very moving, and made me realize that we would love to incorporate more things like this into our blog.

It's a new dawn, it's a new day

Okay baby, it's a new dawn…it's a new day..its a fresh new year and we can do absolutely whatever we want with it..

I signed up for a yoga class (that I actually went to.. normally I think about it, sign up, don't go and wonder why I’m never in shape….started a journal that I have already written in four times…. Again, I usually buy the pretty book, fill in a page or two and up on my shelf it goes.)

But this year I feel different, I seriously feel like I want to follow through on my intentions.
